Housing Action Lab

The Housing Action Lab (HAL) brings together Queensland's leaders to explore Australia's most pressing housing issues. The brainchild of Rachel Watson Consulting and Business Models Inc with backing from Q Shelter, the HAL creates real solutions for social change. A necessity as the sector looks to reset, reimagine and restart in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Leveraging Business Models Inc's multi-party innovation lab framework and design-thinking methodology, the Lab takes participants through a lean and iterative design process that connects concept development and experimentation, with capability development. For participants, the Lab will be an immersive learning exchange. Modelled off the learnings and successes of the Canadian GTA Housing Action Lab over the past four years, with whom Business Models Inc. shares a learning exchange memorandum of understanding, the Housing Action Lab will provide an environment to test and explore solutions to entrenched challenges.
