Steve Olech is an experienced and self-motivated commercial executive with extensive results leading and guiding both small and large teams across the country. With a background in commerce yet transitioning into leading and developing strategy, business planning, partnerships, commercialisation programs and marketing the evolution of supporting many businesses resulted in SO Strategic! Steve's work through SO Strategic focuses on: Strategic planning and business plans Program reviews, analysis and change recommendations Commercial advisory New business development Commercialisation strategy Client sided project management Marketing and brand strategy In particular, Steve has an extensive background in both the elite sports environment and at community level and has held senior sports management roles including as General Manager – Commercial Operations for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL, highlighted with oversight of the move to the Adelaide Oval, with SACA and establishing the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League, and starting out in media with senior national executive roles with Southern Cross Austereo and the DMG Radio Group (Nova Entertainment). Steve is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a graduate of the Melbourne Business School with the AFL Senior Leadership Program at Mt.Eliza. Steve has taken oversight of the direction and implementation of "game-changing" initiatives and projects – taking a vision from concept to completion and working with established national networks across both corporate and government sectors to deliver commercially sustainable outcomes. In addition to consulting across the sport, health and education sectors, Steve is the Director and Co-Founder of an Allied Health Group (My Local Physio Plus) with 30+ staff providing Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology across the industries of aged care, sports performance and injury, NDIS and gym-based rehabilitation.
