What data does this return?

Each webhook event returns the full JSON payload sent by the external application, along with metadata including the event timestamp, source IP, headers, and delivery status. SyncGTM parses the payload according to your field mapping configuration and writes the mapped fields directly to your table columns.

How many credits does this cost?

Webhooks are included in all SyncGTM plans at no additional credit cost. You can create and receive unlimited webhook events. Credits are only consumed when you run enrichment or outreach actions on the incoming data.

How do I test my webhook before going live?

SyncGTM provides a unique webhook URL with a built-in request inspector. Send test payloads to verify your mapping and transformations before connecting production systems.

How do I secure my webhook endpoint against unauthorized requests?

SyncGTM supports HMAC signature verification. When you create a webhook with a shared secret, every incoming request is validated against its X-Signature header. Requests with invalid or missing signatures are rejected automatically and logged for review.

What happens if a webhook event fails to process?

SyncGTM automatically retries failed webhook deliveries up to 5 times with exponential backoff. If all retries are exhausted, the event is moved to a dead-letter queue visible in your webhook event log, where you can inspect the payload and manually replay it.
