6 Best Cold Calling Software for SDR Teams in 2026

Kushal Magar

By Kushal Magar · November 1, 2026 · 16 min read

Key Takeaway

The best cold calling software for SDR teams in 2026 splits into parallel dialers and power dialers. Orum is the top parallel dialer for teams of 9+ reps (quote-only), Nooks bundles parallel dialing with AI coaching and sequencing (quote-only), PhoneBurner is the best one-line power dialer from $140 per user per month, Aircall adds a power dialer and local presence to a full phone system at $50 per license, JustCall offers published pricing from $49 with 10-line predictive dialing on SalesPro, and CloudTalk is the cheapest published parallel dialer at a $39 add-on. Whichever you pick, connect rates depend on the numbers in the list.

Cold calling software is the dialer layer of an SDR team's stack. It places the calls, picks the caller ID, logs every attempt to the CRM, and gives managers a way to listen in and coach.

In 2026 the category splits into two camps. Parallel dialers ring several numbers at once and hand the rep whoever answers, while power dialers ring one number after another with no gap between calls.

This guide ranks 6 tools on the five things that decide your cost per conversation: parallel dialing, local presence, call coaching, CRM logging, and price. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, in USD, and every connect-rate figure is labeled as a vendor claim.

Most roundups stop at the dialer. We also cover the part that decides whether any dialer works: the phone numbers you load into it.

Quick Summary

Most live conversations per hour for a 9+ rep team: Orum. Parallel dialing plus AI coaching and sequencing in one contract: Nooks. No dropped calls: PhoneBurner. One phone system for sales and support: Aircall. Published pricing with a path to predictive dialing: JustCall. Cheapest parallel dialing: CloudTalk.

TL;DR

  • Orum — Best parallel dialer for SDR teams of 9+ reps. AI answer detection, local presence included, AI coaching as an add-on. Quote-only.
  • Nooks — Best all-in-one AI calling platform. Parallel dialer, AI roleplay, sequencing, and signals in one contract. Quote-only.
  • PhoneBurner — Best power dialer. One line at a time, so no dropped greetings. From $140 per user per month, billed annually.
  • Aircall — Best for a full phone system with a power dialer. Professional is $50 per license per month, billed annually, 3-license minimum.
  • JustCall — Best published pricing with room to grow. Power dialer on Pro at $49 per user per month; 10-line predictive dialing on quote-only SalesPro.
  • CloudTalk — Cheapest parallel dialing. A $39 add-on that rings up to 5 numbers at once, on plans from $25 per user per month.
  • Before you buy seats— A dialer only calls the numbers you give it. A mobile-number waterfall like SyncGTM's fills the list first.

Parallel Dialer vs Power Dialer: Which Does Your SDR Team Need?

A parallel dialer suits SDR teams calling large lists with low answer rates; a power dialer suits smaller teams calling high-value accounts where every greeting matters. That one choice narrows this list more than any feature.

Power dialers: one line, no gaps

A power dialer calls the next contact the moment the last call ends. The rep hears every ring, so no prospect ever answers to silence.

PhoneBurner and Aircall work this way. JustCall and CloudTalk offer it as one of several modes.

Parallel dialers: several lines, first human wins

A parallel dialer rings 3 to 10 numbers per rep at once. It skips voicemails and busy signals and connects the rep to the first person who answers.

Vendors claim big gains: CloudTalk says its parallel dialer gets a rep through 80 calls an hour, 4x a single line, and Nooks says reps connect with 3x more prospects. Those are vendor claims, not independent tests.

The trade-offs nobody puts on the pricing page

  • Dropped greetings. If two prospects answer at once, one of them gets a dead line or a delay. That costs you the prospect's goodwill, not just the dial.
  • List burn. A rep making 300 dials a day with 6 attempts per contact works through about 50 new contacts a day, or roughly 1,000 a month. Small territories run dry fast.
  • Number reputation. More dials per number means more short calls, which is exactly what carrier spam filters watch for.

If you are still deciding whether the phone is worth it at all, read does cold calling B2B still work first.

How We Ranked Cold Calling Software

We scored each tool on five criteria that change an SDR team's cost per conversation. We compared published features, pricing pages, and vendor documentation; we did not run live call tests.

  • Parallel dialing: how many lines a rep can ring at once, and whether it costs extra.
  • Local presence: whether the dialer can show a local caller ID, and what it does to protect number reputation.
  • Call coaching: live listening, whisper, AI scoring, and roleplay for ramping new reps.
  • CRM logging: which CRMs get calls, outcomes, and recordings written back automatically.
  • Price: published per-seat cost, seat minimums, and add-ons, billed annually unless noted.

1. Orum

Orum homepage showing its AI sales dialer for SDR teams — cold calling software comparison

Orum: AI parallel dialer with live-answer detection and an AI coaching add-on.

Orum is an AI parallel dialer built for outbound SDR teams that want the most live conversations per hour, and it sells on quotes with a 9-seat minimum. It rings several numbers per rep, detects when a human answers, and drops the rep into that call.

The base package includes parallel and power dialing, unlimited dials, AI answer and objection detection, AI call summaries, voicemail drop, Smart Lists, and Live Listen. Local presence covers up to 10 caller IDs a month, and Orum lists calling to 160+ countries and regions.

AI Coaching is a separate add-on with roleplay agents, AI scorecards, and a coaching portal. Orum says it connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, and Gong.

Orum publishes customer results rather than one headline number, such as "2x more meetings with fewer reps" in one customer story. Those are vendor claims; our Orum review goes deeper on the product and packages.

Pros

  • ✓ Parallel and power dialing in one seat
  • ✓ AI answer detection skips voicemails, busy signals, and phone trees
  • ✓ Local presence for up to 10 caller IDs a month is included
  • ✓ Salesfloor and Live Listen for team call blocks
  • ✓ Free trial of up to 500 dials

Cons

  • ✗ No public pricing and a 9-seat minimum
  • ✗ AI Coaching (roleplay, scorecards) costs extra
  • ✗ Line count isn't on the pricing page, so confirm it in your order form
  • ✗ Parallel dialing can leave a second answering prospect with a delay or dropped call

Best for: SDR teams of 9 or more reps calling high volumes into mid-market and enterprise accounts.

Pricing: Quote-only, with a 9-seat minimum on Orum's pricing page. Third-party estimates range from about $250 to $500 or more per user per month, so treat any figure as a starting point for negotiation.

2. Nooks

Nooks homepage for its AI dialer and sales platform — cold calling software for SDR teams

Nooks: parallel AI dialer bundled with AI coaching, sequencing, and signals.

Nooks is an AI sales platform that pairs a parallel dialer with AI coaching, sequencing, and buying signals, and it is quote-only. It fits SDR teams that would rather run calls, coaching, and follow-up from one tool than stitch three together.

The AI Dialer covers multi-line and power dialing, AI answer detection, automated number rotation, and carrier registration. Nooks does not publish its line count; third-party reviews most often report up to 5 lines per rep.

AI Coaching adds roleplay bots, live battlecards, and a call library with AI scoring. AI Sequencing adds call, email, SMS, and social steps, and a signals module that Nooks says ships with 100+ pre-built signals.

Nooks names HubSpot and Salesforce as its CRM integrations, with CSV uploads for other CRMs. Its homepage claims reps "connect with 3x more prospects" and book 3x more meetings, which are vendor claims.

Pros

  • ✓ Dialer, AI coaching, sequencing, and signals in one platform
  • ✓ Automated number rotation and carrier registration protect caller ID reputation
  • ✓ AI roleplay bots and live battlecards for ramping new SDRs
  • ✓ Native HubSpot and Salesforce sync, plus Outreach, Salesloft, and Gong

Cons

  • ✗ No public pricing; third-party estimates are among the highest in this list
  • ✗ Line count is not published
  • ✗ Only HubSpot and Salesforce sync natively; other CRMs need CSV uploads
  • ✗ Bundled modules may be more than a call-only team needs

Best for: SDR teams that want parallel dialing, AI coaching, and multichannel sequencing in a single contract.

Pricing: Quote-only on the Nooks pricing page. Third-party estimates put list pricing around $4,000 to $5,000 per user per year, with negotiated rates reported lower.

3. PhoneBurner

PhoneBurner homepage promoting its sales power dialer — cold calling software comparison

PhoneBurner: one-line power dialer focused on answer rates and spam-flag protection.

PhoneBurneris a power dialer that rings one contact at a time and auto-advances, with published prices from $140 per user per month billed annually. Because it never rings more numbers than a rep can take, prospects don't hear the pause a parallel dialer can create.

Every plan includes unlimited power dialing, and PhoneBurner lists 100+ integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, and GoHighLevel. Professional adds softphone dialing, Krisp noise cancellation, live call monitoring and coaching, and an open API; Premium adds call transcription with an AI note-taker and 1,000 outbound SMS a month.

PhoneBurner competes on answer rate rather than line count. It says it places calls on a Tier 1 network prioritized by carriers and that its power dialer can "increase answer rates by up to 4x," both vendor claims, and it sells ARMOR to reduce "Spam Likely" flags.

For plan-by-plan detail and add-on costs, see our PhoneBurner review.

Pros

  • ✓ One-to-one power dialing, so prospects never answer to silence
  • ✓ Public pricing with monthly or annual billing
  • ✓ Unlimited power dialing on every plan
  • ✓ ARMOR spam protection and Connect Scores available as add-ons

Cons

  • ✗ One line at a time means fewer conversations per hour than a parallel dialer
  • ✗ Highest published per-seat price in this list
  • ✗ Live coaching starts on Professional; call transcription only on Premium
  • ✗ ARMOR, extra numbers, and Connect Scores cost extra, with no public prices

Best for: Small SDR teams and regulated industries that want high call volume without dropped calls.

Pricing: Standard $140, Professional $165, and Premium $183 per user per month billed annually, or $165, $195, and $215 billed monthly, per the PhoneBurner pricing page.

4. Aircall

Aircall homepage showing AI Assist on a live sales call — cold calling software for SDR teams

Aircall: cloud phone system with a power dialer, local presence, and AI add-ons.

Aircall is a cloud phone system with a built-in power dialer, and its Professional plan costs $50 per license per month billed annually. It suits SDR teams that also need shared numbers, call routing, and support lines on the same system.

The Power Dialer sits on Professional with AI call summaries, call whispering, live monitoring, and full API access. Aircall's Local Presence feature works inside Power Dialer sessions, and Aircall says it is included on that plan at no extra cost.

Essentials has no Power Dialer, so cold calling teams start at Professional. AI Assist Pro, Aircall's real-time AI add-on, costs $49 per seat per month on top.

Pros

  • ✓ Public per-license pricing
  • ✓ Power Dialer, Local Presence, call whispering, and live monitoring on Professional
  • ✓ 250+ integrations
  • ✓ One system for SDR, AE, and support lines

Cons

  • ✗ Sequential power dialing only, with no parallel lines
  • ✗ 3-license minimum, and Enterprise needs 25
  • ✗ Real-time AI coaching is a $49 per seat add-on
  • ✗ Essentials has no Power Dialer, so cold calling teams start at Professional

Best for: Teams that want one phone system for sales and support with a power dialer included.

Pricing: Professional is $50 per license per month billed annually, with a 3-license minimum. Essentials ($30) has no Power Dialer, and Enterprise is custom, per the Aircall pricing page.

5. JustCall

JustCall homepage showing its sales auto dialer campaign view — cold calling software comparison

JustCall: power, dynamic, and predictive dialing with published entry pricing.

JustCall is a cloud phone and dialer platform with power, dynamic, and predictive modes, and its Pro plan with a power dialer costs $49 per user per month billed annually. It is the most flexible pick on price: start with a power dialer and move to multi-line dialing later.

Pro includes the power dialer, bulk SMS, and Salesforce CTI. Pro Plus ($89) adds AI call scoring, real-time agent assist, and an AI notetaker.

Predictive dialing lives in SalesPro, a quote-only sales package. JustCall says its predictive dialer rings up to 10 lines and connects reps only to live answers. SalesPro also includes the power and dynamic dialers.

For local presence, JustCall's pricing page lists local number bundles: 50 numbers for $75 a month, 100 for $150, and 200 for $200. Confirm which plans include local presence dialing before you sign.

Pros

  • ✓ Power, dynamic, and predictive dialer modes on one platform
  • ✓ Published pricing for Team, Pro, and Pro Plus
  • ✓ Up to 10 predictive lines per rep on SalesPro
  • ✓ AI call scoring and real-time agent assist on Pro Plus

Cons

  • ✗ 2-user minimum, and predictive dialing is quote-only
  • ✗ Local presence numbers are sold as separate bundles
  • ✗ Most AI features need Pro Plus
  • ✗ Features are spread across many plans, which makes quotes harder to compare

Best for: Growing SDR teams that want published pricing now and an upgrade path to predictive dialing.

Pricing: Team $29, Pro $49, and Pro Plus $89 per user per month billed annually, 2-user minimum. Business and SalesPro are quote-only, per the JustCall pricing page.

6. CloudTalk

CloudTalk parallel dialer page showing a dialer campaign that calls up to 5 numbers at once — cold calling software

CloudTalk: parallel dialing as a $39 add-on on any plan.

CloudTalk is a cloud phone system that sells parallel dialing as a $39 per user per month add-on, the cheapest published route to parallel dialing in this list. The add-on rings up to 5 numbers per rep at once, with up to 10 on request, and works on any plan.

Base plans start at $25 per user per month billed annually, so a parallel-dialing seat starts around $64 a month. Higher plans add the power dialer, and the Expert plan adds Salesforce.

By default, CloudTalk matches the caller ID to each contact's area code, or you can rotate across your own numbers. It supports STIR/SHAKEN registration and sells branded caller ID per call.

CloudTalk claims parallel dialing gets reps through 80 calls an hour, 4x a single line, which is a vendor claim. AI Conversation Intelligence is a separate add-on.

Pros

  • ✓ Cheapest published parallel dialing: a $39 add-on on any plan
  • ✓ Caller ID matches each contact's area code by default
  • ✓ STIR/SHAKEN registration, branded caller ID, and local numbers in 160+ countries
  • ✓ Native HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Zoho CRM integrations

Cons

  • ✗ 5 lines by default, fewer than enterprise parallel dialers advertise
  • ✗ Salesforce integration needs the Expert plan
  • ✗ Power dialer and AI conversation intelligence are add-ons on lower plans
  • ✗ Pricing shows in euros in some regions, so confirm currency and totals

Best for: Budget-conscious SDR teams that want parallel dialing without an enterprise contract.

Pricing: Plans from $25 per user per month billed annually, plus the Parallel Dialer add-on at $39 per user per month, per CloudTalk's parallel dialer page. 14-day free trial.

What 10 SDR Seats Cost Per Year

For a 10-rep SDR team, published list prices run from about $5,900 a year on JustCall Pro to $19,800 on PhoneBurner Professional. Quote-only parallel dialers cost more, based on third-party estimates.

ToolBasis10 seats, per year
OrumThird-party estimate, $250 to $500+ per user per month~$30,000 to $60,000+
NooksThird-party estimate, $4,000 to $5,000 per user per year at list~$40,000 to $50,000
PhoneBurnerProfessional, $165 per user per month (annual)$19,800
AircallProfessional, $50 per license per month (annual)$6,000 ($11,880 with AI Assist Pro)
JustCallPro, $49 per user per month (annual)$5,880 ($10,680 on Pro Plus)
CloudTalk$25 plan + $39 Parallel Dialer add-on (annual)$7,680

These figures leave out add-ons such as local number bundles, AI coaching, and spam protection. They also leave out the phone numbers themselves, which none of these seat prices cover in full.

Local Presence, Spam Labels, and Calling Rules

Connect rates now depend as much on caller ID reputation as on dialing speed. Here is what every SDR leader should check before rolling out cold calling software.

How local presence works

Local presence shows the prospect a caller ID from their own area code, on the theory that people answer local numbers more often. In the US, the FCC's caller ID rules ban misleading caller ID used to defraud or cause harm, so use real numbers your company owns that ring back to your team.

Why calls get labeled "Spam Likely"

Carrier analytics engines score each number on volume, short call durations, low answer rates, and complaints. Numbers also carry a STIR/SHAKEN attestation, the FCC-mandated framework that lets carriers authenticate the caller ID on each call.

The dialers here fight this in different ways: Nooks rotates numbers and handles carrier registration, PhoneBurner sells ARMOR, and CloudTalk offers STIR/SHAKEN registration and branded caller ID. Whatever you pick, spread parallel dialing across enough numbers that no single line racks up hundreds of short calls a day.

Parallel dialers and abandoned calls

In consumer telemarketing, the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule limits abandoned calls to 3% of answered calls per campaign. Most business-to-business calls are exempt from that rule, but a prospect who answers to silence still remembers it.

AI voices and Do Not Call

The FCC ruled in 2024 that AI-generated voices count as artificial voices under the TCPA, so AI voice agents calling mobiles need prior consent. Separately, the FTC's Do Not Call guidance largely exempts business-to-business calls, while UK and EU calling carries its own rules (none of this is legal advice).

Fill the Dial List First: Where SDR Phone Numbers Come From

Cold calling software multiplies whatever is on the list. A parallel dialer pointed at switchboard numbers just reaches more receptionists, faster.

SyncGTM is not a dialer: it doesn't place, record, or coach calls. It fills the list before the dialer starts, with a phone waterfall that checks several data providers in turn for each contact and stops at the first number found.

How the waterfall feeds any dialer

  1. Load the list.Import a CSV, sync from HubSpot or Salesforce, or build the list in SyncGTM. Phone lookups run from each contact's LinkedIn profile URL.
  2. Find mobile numbers. Run Find Mobile Number. It costs 10 credits per number found, and lookups that come back empty are not billed.
  3. Fall back to work phones. For contacts with no mobile, run Find Work Phone for a direct or office line at 12 credits per number found; misses are free here too.
  4. Sync to your CRM. Push the numbers to HubSpot or Salesforce through 2-way sync. Every dialer in this guide can pull a call list from at least one of the two.

You can also run the same lookups from Claude or another AI assistant through the SyncGTM enrichment MCP server.

Full plan details are on the SyncGTM pricing page. For a provider-by-provider look at phone data, see our guides to waterfall phone finders and phone number lookup tools.

How to Choose Cold Calling Software for Your SDR Team

Pick by team size and list size first, then by coaching and price. These rules cover most SDR teams.

  • 9+ SDRs calling large mid-market or enterprise lists: Orum, or Nooks if you also want sequencing and AI roleplay in the same contract.
  • Small team, high-value accounts, no tolerance for dropped greetings: PhoneBurner.
  • One phone system for SDRs, AEs, and support: Aircall.
  • Published pricing now, predictive dialing later: JustCall.
  • Parallel dialing for under $70 a seat: CloudTalk.
  • Any of the above: run a two-week pilot on your own list and measure conversations per hour and connects per 100 dials, not vendor benchmarks.

Final Verdict

Orum is the best cold calling software for SDR teams that live on the phone and have 9 or more reps to fill its seat minimum. Nooks is the closest rival and the better buy if you want coaching and sequencing in the same platform.

PhoneBurner is the best power dialer, and Aircall is the best choice when the dialer has to share a phone system with the rest of the company. JustCall and CloudTalk give smaller teams published pricing, and CloudTalk's $39 add-on is the cheapest way into parallel dialing.

Whichever dialer you buy, its connect rate depends on the numbers in the list. Fill it with mobile numbers first, then plan your follow-up calls and the emails that go out after each call.
