5 Best Email Databases for Spain in 2026 (Verified and Ranked)

Kushal Magar

By Kushal Magar · October 15, 2026 · 13 min read

Key Takeaway

Spanish law is stricter on B2B email than most sellers assume: LSSI-CE article 21 bars promotional email that was not requested or authorised, with a narrow existing-customer exception, and LOPDGDD article 23 requires a Lista Robinson check before direct marketing. An email database Spain teams can defend therefore needs accurate named addresses, a documented reason for each contact, and a one-step opt-out.

TL;DR

An email database Spain sellers can use responsibly supplies accurate, verified work addresses for the specific people you have a reason to contact, because the Spanish rules put the burden on the sender. Global databases often thin out below the big Madrid and Barcelona headquarters, so test on your own accounts. The short version follows.

  • Best EU-hosted enrichment from names and companies: Dropcontact, from EUR 79/mo
  • Best cheap LinkedIn-based lookups in EUR: Kaspr, free plan, paid from EUR 45 per user
  • Best finder and verifier for known Spanish domains: Hunter.io, free plan available
  • Best for filter-based discovery: Apollo.io (check current pricing)
  • Best vendor-managed European dataset: Cognism (quote-based, vendor claims)
  • Best for waterfall coverage and pre-send verification: SyncGTM, 50+ providers

Email Database Spain: What LSSI-CE, LOPDGDD and the AEPD Mean for a List

Three layers apply: the RGPD, the Spanish data protection law LOPDGDD, and the e-commerce law LSSI (also called LSSI-CE) that governs commercial email. This section is general information, not legal advice. We read the consolidated statute texts on boe.es; the AEPD site returned errors to our automated fetches, so statements about AEPD practice below come from secondary summaries and are labeled as such.

LSSI article 21: the rule that decides most campaigns

In the consolidated Ley 34/2002, article 21(1) prohibits sending promotional or advertising communications by email or equivalent electronic means that were not "previamente solicitadas o expresamente autorizadas" by the recipients. Article 21(2) lifts the ban only where a prior contractual relationship exists, the sender lawfully obtained the contact data, and the message is about the sender's own products or services similar to those originally contracted. Even then, the sender must offer a simple, free way to object, both when collecting the data and in every message, and an email must include a valid address where the right can be exercised.

Read plainly, that is a prior-request-or-authorisation model, not the notice-and-opt-out model common in the US. The statute text we read does not carve out professional addresses. Practitioner summaries of AEPD resolutions, including one citing report e-00096-2017, say the AEPD has applied article 21 to company mailboxes, while another AEPD report reportedly notes that a bare contact address is not itself a "comunicacion comercial". We could not open those documents, so ask a Spanish lawyer what the AEPD currently expects for corporate addresses before you build a campaign on a cold list.

LOPDGDD article 19 is not a marketing licence

In the consolidated Ley Organica 3/2018, article 19 presumes that processing contact data of people acting for a legal entity falls under legitimate interest, but only where the data is limited to what is needed to locate them professionally and the purpose is to maintain relations with the entity. That wording is about staying in touch, not about cold promotion. Even where the RGPD allows storing a contact on legitimate-interest grounds, the separate LSSI consent rule for promotional email still applies, so a database vendor describing its data as legitimate-interest sourced has not answered the article 21 question.

LOPDGDD article 23 and the Lista Robinson

Article 23 makes advertising exclusion systems lawful and says anyone planning direct marketing must first consult the systems that could affect the campaign and exclude people who have objected; consulting the list published by the authority is enough, and the check is not required where the person consented to that sender. The best-known system is the Lista Robinson, run by Adigital, free for individuals, covering phone, post, email and SMS. Its public page says natural persons register and does not address work contact details, so do not assume a corporate address is exempt. Screen every list against it as a routine step, and keep your own suppression list for everyone who replies with a no.

Enforcement

Fines for unsolicited commercial email are mostly modest per case but frequent. Secondary sources report, for example, a EUR 5,000 AEPD fine for repeated unauthorised promotional messages after the recipient asked to stop, a minor infringement under LSSI article 38.4.d, plus smaller figures for single emails and a reported EUR 12,000 fine for a newsletter without consent or an unsubscribe route. We did not read the resolutions and the amounts are the press's, so verify them at aepd.es. The pattern that matters is that ignoring an objection is what turns a nuisance into a fine.

For neighbouring markets compare our email database France and email database Germany guides. If your team also dials, our phone number database Spain guide covers article 66.1.b and the Lista Robinson for calls. For company-level and Iberian coverage see the best B2B database for Spain roundup, and to check addresses before sending read our email validation services comparison.

Two Surnames, Accents and Why Spanish Emails Break Finders

Spanish naming habits trip up tools built around first.last@ patterns. Most people carry two surnames, a paternal then a maternal one, so Maria Garcia Lopez may appear as mgarcia@, maria.garcia@, mgarcialopez@ or maria.garcia.lopez@ depending on the company. Compound first names such as Jose Luis add a second guess, particles such as "de la" and "del" may or may not be dropped, and accents and the letter n with tilde are typically stripped in addresses.

Coverage is the other gap. Global databases lean on large employers and LinkedIn-visible staff, while a large share of Spanish business is made up of small and medium firms whose staff are lightly profiled. We have not measured the size of that gap, so run the test yourself: take 100 accounts from your ICP, with 20 below 50 employees, and count how many contacts each tool returns and how many bounce. Verify every result before it enters a sequence.

1. Dropcontact

Dropcontact is an EU-hosted email finder and enrichment tool best suited for teams that already hold Spanish names and companies and want a valid address generated from them.

Its pricing page says processing runs on its own algorithms on EU-based servers, calls the tool 100% GDPR compliant, says it was audited against CNIL standards, and claims to guarantee 99% validity. All of that is vendor-published and we did not reproduce it. Note the audit reference is to the French regulator, not the AEPD, so ask for the data processing agreement and a Spanish-specific statement.

Because you supply the names, you decide who is on the list and can attach a reason to each person, which is what the Spanish rules below reward. The page publishes no Spain coverage figure, so test it on a sample that includes double surnames, regional companies and smaller firms before you commit.

Pros

  • Emails not found are re-credited, per the pricing page
  • Published EUR pricing and 50 free credits to try
  • EU-hosted processing (vendor claim)

Cons

  • Not a searchable database: you bring the names
  • Credit carryover and LinkedIn enrichment need the Growth plan
  • No published Spain coverage figure

Best for: Teams with a named Spanish account list who want EU-hosted enrichment.

Pricing: Starter EUR 79/mo, Growth EUR 120/mo, Enterprise from 200,000 credits a month (custom). A yearly toggle shows 20% off.

2. Kaspr

Kaspr is a LinkedIn-centred contact finder best suited for reps who prospect Spanish decision-makers one by one and want low per-seat pricing in euros.

The pricing page lists a free plan with 15 B2B email credits a month, and Starter and Business plans with unlimited B2B email credits, while phone and direct-email credits are capped (Starter 100 phone and 5 direct-email credits monthly, Business 200 of each). Every plan is labeled GDPR and CCPA aligned, and there is an option to hide direct emails for compliance reasons. That is a vendor statement, and it names no Spanish law.

The page does not say which of the two prices per plan is monthly or annual, and its title and plan table disagree on the free allowance, so confirm both at checkout. Fast LinkedIn-to-inbox flow suits researched one-to-one email; it does not suit pasting a thousand profiles into a sequence.

Pros

  • Free plan to test Spanish profiles
  • Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans (as listed)
  • Per-seat pricing in EUR

Cons

  • Phone and direct-email credits are capped on Starter and Business
  • Price labels on the page are ambiguous, so confirm the live figure
  • No published Spain coverage figures

Best for: Individual reps and small teams doing researched outreach.

Pricing: Free. Starter EUR 45 or 59 and Business EUR 79 or 99 per user per month as listed. Enterprise custom.

3. Hunter.io

Hunter.io is a domain-based email finder best suited for teams that already know which Spanish companies they want and need the address pattern plus a cheap verifier.

Finding an email costs 1 credit and verifying one costs 0.5. If verification fails, no credit is charged. Bulk Domain Search charges 1 credit per up to 10 emails found. The free plan gives 50 credits a month.

Hunter is US-built and priced in USD, with no Spain-specific coverage claim on the page. Its strength is that a company domain plus a name is enough, which suits Spanish mid-market firms that are absent from big contact databases but have a website. Use it for pattern discovery and re-verification the week you send.

Pros

  • Free plan with 50 credits per month
  • Verification at half a credit
  • No charge when verification fails

Cons

  • Needs a domain you supply
  • USD pricing, no Spain coverage claim
  • Pattern guesses on accented or double surnames still need checking

Best for: Teams with a list of Spanish company domains who want finding plus cheap re-verification.

Pricing: Free (50 credits/mo). Starter USD 34/mo billed yearly (USD 49 monthly) for 2,000 credits. Growth USD 104 yearly (USD 149 monthly). Scale USD 209 yearly (USD 299 monthly).

Read the full Hunter.io review.

4. Apollo.io

Apollo.io is a searchable contact database and outreach platform best suited for teams that want to filter by title and location rather than bring their own list.

Its pricing page lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans. It states credits are pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. The page we read showed no prices and no free-plan credit amount, so check current pricing in your account.

Searchable databases are built largely on North American data, and we did not test Spanish SME depth, so treat coverage as unproven until you pull a sample. A search-first tool can hand you names you never chose, which makes it harder to justify why each person received a message, the point the Spanish rules turn on.

Pros

  • Search by title and location without a starting list
  • Free plan to try
  • Credits pooled across the team

Cons

  • Prices and free-plan credits not shown on the page we read
  • Credits expire each cycle
  • Spanish mid-market coverage not tested by us

Best for: Teams that want to discover Spanish prospects by filter and are willing to verify the output.

Pricing: Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans. Check current pricing on the vendor's page.

5. Cognism

Cognism is a sales-intelligence database best suited for larger teams that want a vendor-managed European dataset and a sales-led buying process.

The pricing page lists Standard and Pro packages with 5 seats each, one credit per revealed contact, and a separate CRM Enrichment product. It describes its data as verified and compliance-first and links to a Trust Centre. It does not mention GDPR by name, state a Spain figure, or list regions.

Pricing is quote-only. In a Spanish trial, ask how addresses were sourced, how information duties reach people whose data it holds, and how a Lista Robinson check and objections are handled on its side, because a vendor's records do not replace your own basis for sending.

Pros

  • Compliance-first positioning with a Trust Centre (vendor claim)
  • European orientation
  • Sales-led onboarding

Cons

  • No published prices
  • Packages and process suit larger teams
  • No Spain coverage figure on the pricing page

Best for: Mid-market and enterprise teams that want a managed European database.

Pricing: Quote-based. Standard and Pro each include 5 seats. Check current pricing with the vendor.

Read the full Cognism review.

Filling the Gaps with SyncGTM

SyncGTM is our own product, so weigh this section accordingly. It is a GTM data platform for teams that already know which Spanish accounts and titles they want and need one verified address per contact. It waterfalls email finding across 50+ providers, so when one source has no result, the next is tried.

That is aimed at the regional and mid-market gap described above, where any single provider tends to have holes. We have not published a Spain-specific match rate, so test it on a sample of your own accounts. Each address is verified before export, and results sync to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio and Close, where you can store the source, date and reason you contacted each person, plus an objection flag.

See how the method works in our waterfall email finder roundup, or estimate spend with the credits estimator.

Pros

  • Queries 50+ providers in sequence for higher fill rates on named contacts
  • Verifies every address before it reaches a sequence
  • Native sync to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio and Close
  • Free tier to test on your own Spanish account list

Cons

  • It enriches contacts you specify rather than selling a static downloadable list
  • It does not supply consent, run the Lista Robinson check or decide your legal basis

Pricing: Free tier available. See the pricing page for current plans.

Prices come from each vendor's pricing page as we read it and change often, so confirm current figures before buying. We did not run a Spanish match-rate or bounce test across these tools. Compliance statements and accuracy figures are vendor claims, not independent results.

A Pre-Send Checklist for Spanish B2B Email

These steps follow the statute texts above. They reduce risk but do not guarantee compliance.

  • Decide with counsel which LSSI article 21 route you rely on: prior request, express authorisation, or the existing-customer exception
  • Screen the list against the Lista Robinson and your own suppression list before every send
  • Match each message to the recipient's role and keep the reasoning in a note
  • State who you are, why you are writing and where you found the address, in Spanish for Spanish recipients
  • Include a valid address or one-step, free opt-out in every message and honour it quickly
  • Record source, date and basis per contact, and complete the RGPD Article 14 information
  • Re-verify the list in the week you send to protect your sender reputation

How to Choose

If you have a named account list, run Dropcontact and SyncGTM on the same 100 Spanish contacts and compare fill rate, bounces and role accuracy. If you only have domains, start with Hunter.io. If your reps live in LinkedIn, trial Kaspr first for EUR pricing. For filter-based discovery try Apollo.io, and for a managed dataset ask Cognism for a Spanish sample and its sourcing description.

Whichever you pick, take your messaging, your suppression process and your record-keeping, not the vendor's compliance badge, to a Spanish lawyer or your DPO.
