Overview

mcp-profile-signals runs the four LinkedIn profile tools plus the two person-signal tools in cost order. Comments and reactions at 0.2 credits each are the cheapest personalization on the server and the most under-used — it sets posted_limit and raises max_results off its default of 3, reads the activity, and only then decides whether the person is worth a 1-credit enrichment and a 2-credit timing check.

How it works

  1. 1

Pulls comments, reactions and posts first — 0.7 credits total — with posted_limit set so the material is not stale

  2. 2

Raises max_results off its default of 3 on reactions and comments, since 25 costs the same 0.2 credits

  3. 3

Stops before enrichment when nothing in the activity is relevant, spending 0.7 instead of 5.7 credits

  4. 4

Runs check_job_change and check_promotions (2 credits each) last, on people about to be contacted, not across a list

  5. 5

Drafts a two-sentence opener that must quote something specific with its source URL, and says so plainly when there is no usable material

How to use it

  1. 1

Download the skill file — it saves as mcp-profile-signals.zip.

  2. 2

In Claude, open Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload the .zip (or unzip the mcp-profile-signals/ folder into .claude/skills/ for Claude Code).

  3. 3

Tailor the opener to your voice — e.g. 'Customize mcp-profile-signals to write openers under 30 words'.

  4. 4

Trigger it anytime by typing /mcp-profile-signals and pasting a LinkedIn profile URL.
