ZoomInfo vs Seamless.ai: Contact Accuracy Compared for 2026

ZoomInfo vs Seamless.ai is usually framed as a curated database against real-time search. The more useful split is what each vendor promises when the data turns out wrong. ZoomInfo writes an accuracy remedy into its license terms; Seamless publishes no accuracy percentage and hands back credits for bad emails, but nothing for bad phone numbers.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless.ai is the shortlist for teams that want verified emails and direct dials and have to choose between a curated enterprise dataset and a tool that checks contacts at lookup time. Both are quote-only, both sell annual contracts, and neither vendor's accuracy figure is independently audited.

ZoomInfo calls itself a "GTM Intelligence Layer" built on 500M+ professional profiles, 122M+ companies, and 135M+ direct dials. Seamless.ai, which renamed itself Seamless on February 10, 2026, still runs on the seamless.ai domain and describes itself as "a real-time search engine, not a database."

We haven't run a hands-on test, so this comparison sticks to what each vendor claims, what each contract promises when data is wrong, and how to measure bounce and connect rates yourself. For single-tool depth, see our ZoomInfo review and Seamless.ai review; if Apollo.io or Lusha is also in the running, see Apollo.io vs Seamless.ai, Apollo.io vs ZoomInfo, and ZoomInfo vs Lusha.

Quick Summary

ZoomInfo vs Seamless.ai is a choice between a curated enterprise dataset and search-time contact research, but the measurable differences are accuracy remedies and contract terms. ZoomInfo claims 500M+ professional profiles, 135M+ direct dials, a 96% email deliverability rate, and 87% mobile number accuracy, and its license terms promise 95% accuracy with a termination right. Seamless.ai, renamed Seamless in February 2026, publishes no accuracy percentage and instead returns credits for emails its own verification flags invalid, excluding phone numbers. Both are quote-only. Vendr's median ZoomInfo contract is $33,500 a year and the agreement is not cancellable; every Seamless subscription is annual and auto-renews unless cancelled in-platform 60 days out. ZoomInfo fits enterprise account teams; Seamless fits lookup-heavy reps. Test both on 200–300 of your own records.

TL;DR

  • Short answer: ZoomInfo wins for enterprise teams that need account depth (122M+ companies, hierarchy data, 4,500+ intent topics) and an accuracy guarantee in writing. Seamless.ai fits lookup-heavy reps who research named people at known accounts and want pooled credits, as long as someone owns the renewal date.
  • Email bounce rates: ZoomInfo claims a 96% email deliverability rate. Seamless publishes no accuracy or bounce figure at all. Neither number is independently audited, so test both on 200–300 of your own records before you sign.
  • Direct dials: ZoomInfo lists 135M+ direct dials and "contact hit rates" of 87% for mobile and 72% for direct dial, without defining whether a hit means found or correct. Seamless claims 414M+ phone numbers, makes no phone accuracy claim, and excludes phones from its credit-back program.
  • When data is wrong: ZoomInfo's license terms give it 30 days to restore 95% accuracy if more than 5% of your contacts have left the listed company; otherwise you can terminate with a prorated refund. Seamless automatically returns credits for emails its own check flags invalid, but not for soft bounces, role addresses, emails that die later, or phones.
  • Contracts: ZoomInfo's agreement "is not cancellable," with renewal terms set in your order form. Every Seamless subscription is annual even when billed monthly, and it renews for 12 more months unless you cancel in-platform at least 60 days before renewal.
  • Pricing and support: Both are quote-only; Vendr's median ZoomInfo contract is $33,500 a year, and Seamless has no public price data. Both score poorly on Trustpilot (ZoomInfo 1.8/5, Seamless 1.2/5) and far better on Capterra (4.1 and 4.5).

What We Evaluated

  • ZoomInfo vs Seamless.ai email accuracy: each vendor's deliverability or bounce claim, how it's defined, and who audits it
  • Direct dial and mobile accuracy: phone coverage claims, and whether anything protects you when a number is wrong
  • What each vendor does when data is wrong: ZoomInfo's contractual accuracy remedy vs Seamless's Credit Back Protection
  • Data model and depth: a curated dataset with company hierarchy and intent vs search-time research and verification
  • Contracts and renewal: cancellability, auto-renewal, notice windows, and price changes, read from each vendor's own terms
  • Pricing transparency and support: published prices, free tiers, buyer price data, and what reviewers say about service

1. ZoomInfo — Enterprise account depth, intent data, and an accuracy guarantee written into the contract

ZoomInfo - Enterprise account depth, intent data, and an accuracy guarantee written into the contract

ZoomInfo — Enterprise account depth, intent data, and an accuracy guarantee written into the contract

ZoomInfo is an enterprise go-to-market data platform that now markets itself as a "GTM Intelligence Layer." Its data page lists 500M+ professional profiles, 122M+ company records, 300M+ verified business emails, 135M+ direct dials, and intent signals across 4,500+ topics.

On accuracy, the same page claims a 96% email deliverability rate and 87% mobile number accuracy. A "contact hit rates" panel then lists business email at 96%, mobile at 87%, direct dial at 72%, and LinkedIn URL at 94%, without saying whether a hit means a number was found or that it was correct.

ZoomInfo describes crawlers scanning 10M+ pages a day, SMTP-level email validation, and enrichment that tracks 15–20M job changes a month. That's the curated-dataset model: records are researched and refreshed before you search, not when you look them up.

The stronger accuracy signal sits in the contract. ZoomInfo's license terms (May 1, 2025 version) say that if more than 5% of your licensed contacts aren't employed by the listed company, ZoomInfo has 30 days to bring them back to 95% accuracy, or you can terminate and receive a prorated refund of prepaid fees.

Note what that remedy measures: employment at the listed company, not email bounces or phone connects. The same terms add a 99.9% monthly uptime guarantee.

Sales packages are now Professional, Copilot Advanced, and Copilot Enterprise. Professional covers contact and company profiles, mobile numbers, business emails, and territory filters; Copilot Advanced adds buyer intent, website visitors, hierarchy data, Champion Tracking, and job posting changes.

None of them carries a list price on ZoomInfo's pricing page, and each export of a contact or company profile costs one credit. Vendr's buyer data (1,574 purchases, February 2026) puts the median contract at $33,500 a year, with a range of $7,220 to $155,730 and average negotiated savings of about 21.8%.

There is a free way in. ZoomInfo Lite is open to anyone with a business email who isn't a current or past paying customer, with 10 credits a month, or 25 if you join Community Edition by connecting your email or CRM and contributing business contact data, per ZoomInfo's own pricing guide.

Read the contract before the demo ends. The license terms state the agreement "is not cancellable," renewal terms live in your order form, and users added beyond your seat count can be billed at the prevailing per-user rate through the end of the term.

Reviewer sentiment splits by venue. ZoomInfo Sales holds 4.1/5 on Capterra across 322 reviews, with customer service its lowest sub-score at 3.8. On Trustpilot it scores 1.8/5 across 339 reviews, where data quality, unresponsive support, and hard cancellations are the recurring complaints.

Pros

  • +Curated dataset at enterprise scale: 500M+ profiles, 122M+ companies, 300M+ verified business emails, and 135M+ direct dials
  • +Publishes specific accuracy claims: 96% email deliverability and 87% mobile number accuracy
  • +Contractual remedy: 30 days to restore 95% accuracy if more than 5% of contacts have left, or terminate with a prorated refund
  • +Account depth from Copilot Advanced: hierarchy data, 4,500+ intent topics, website visitors, and Champion Tracking
  • +Free ZoomInfo Lite tier (10 credits a month, 25 with Community Edition) plus a free trial on each sales package

Cons

  • −No published pricing; Vendr's median contract is $33,500 a year
  • −License terms call the agreement "not cancellable"
  • −Accuracy figures are self-reported, and the 72% direct-dial "hit rate" isn't defined
  • −The accuracy remedy covers employment at the listed company, not bounced emails or wrong phone numbers
  • −Intent, website visitors, and hierarchy data sit above the entry Professional package
  • −1.8/5 on Trustpilot, with support and cancellation among the main complaints

Best for: Enterprise account depth, intent data, and an accuracy guarantee written into the contract

Pricing: Quote-based. Sales packages: Professional, Copilot Advanced (adds intent, website visitors, and hierarchy data), and Copilot Enterprise, each with a free trial. ZoomInfo Lite: free, 10 credits/month (25 with Community Edition). Vendr median contract: $33,500/year (range $7,220–$155,730, February 2026).

2. Seamless.ai — Search-time lookups of named prospects and pooled credits, on an annual contract you manage closely

Seamless.ai - Search-time lookups of named prospects and pooled credits, on an annual contract you manage closely

Seamless.ai — Search-time lookups of named prospects and pooled credits, on an annual contract you manage closely

Seamless.ai is an AI sales platform built around search-time contact research. The company renamed itself Seamless in February 2026, so you'll see both names; the product still lives at seamless.ai.

Its own homepage FAQ answers this comparison directly: Seamless says it searches in real time when you look up a prospect, while "companies like ZoomInfo store information in databases that can quickly get stale and outdated." Per Seamless, a 10-step AI engine researches and verifies emails and direct dials at the moment you search.

It still advertises index-scale numbers: 1.8B+ verified business emails and 414M+ phone numbers, with 100+ data points per profile "updated continuously." Read that as a large index that gets re-checked when you pull a record.

Seamless publishes no accuracy or bounce percentage. Instead, its Credit Back Protection program (updated February 25, 2026) automatically returns credits for emails its own verification finds don't exist, are disabled, or can't receive mail.

The exclusions are where buyers get caught. Soft bounces, role addresses like sales@, emails that verified as valid and later went inactive, phone numbers, and company data aren't covered, and Seamless can modify or end the program at any time.

So credit-back limits what bad data costs you in credits. It doesn't repair the sender reputation lost to a hard bounce on an address Seamless marked valid, and it offers nothing for a direct dial that rings a main line.

Beyond lookups, the Data Engine adds buyer intent, job changes, and CRM enrichment, and the Engagement Hub covers email, phone, and social outreach with AI agents on top. In May 2026 Seamless made its API available on every plan, free included, and in June 2026 it began powering contact sourcing in HubSpot's Breeze Prospecting Agent.

Pricing is quote-only. Free accounts get 50 credits; paid plans start with an inquiry form that sizes you by contacts per month, from up to 1,000 to 25,000+, and Vendr's purchase database has no Seamless price data to benchmark against.

The contract is the main risk. Seamless's Terms of Use (updated July 12, 2024) make every subscription annual even when billed monthly, call all sales final, and let Seamless change fees effective on notice. Unless you cancel inside the platform at least 60 days before renewal, the contract renews for another 12 months.

That clause shapes its reputation: 1.2/5 on Trustpilot across 310 reviews, 83% of them one-star, with renewals and cancellation the dominant complaints. Capterra users rate it 4.5/5 across 591 reviews, with customer service at 4.4, though several flag credits draining fast and outdated contacts.

For more, see our Seamless.ai review and the best Seamless.ai alternatives.

Pros

  • +Search-time research with a 10-step verification on emails and direct dials, per Seamless
  • +Automatic credit-back on emails its verification flags as invalid
  • +Fast lookups by name, company, or title, including from LinkedIn through the Chrome extension
  • +API on every plan, free included, plus contact sourcing inside HubSpot's Breeze Prospecting Agent
  • +Stronger Capterra scores than ZoomInfo: 4.5/5 overall and 4.4 for customer service

Cons

  • −No published accuracy, bounce, or phone-accuracy figure
  • −Credit-back excludes phones, soft bounces, role addresses, and emails that fail after verification
  • −Every subscription is annual, with a 60-day in-platform cancellation window before a 12-month auto-renewal
  • −No published paid pricing and no Vendr benchmark data
  • −1.2/5 on Trustpilot, 83% one-star, mostly over renewals and cancellation

Best for: Search-time lookups of named prospects and pooled credits, on an annual contract you manage closely

Pricing: Quote-based as of October 2026: free plan with 50 credits; paid plans sized by contacts per month (up to 1,000 to 25,000+), users, and modules through a sales inquiry. All subscriptions are annual (billed monthly or annually) and auto-renew for 12 months unless cancelled in-platform 60+ days before renewal.

How to Choose

  • ZoomInfo if you need enterprise account depth, intent data, and an accuracy guarantee written into the contract
  • Seamless.ai if you need search-time lookups of named prospects and pooled credits, on an annual contract you manage closely

Final Verdict

Pick ZoomInfo if you sell into large accounts and need the buying group around each contact, not just the contact. Its 122M+ company records, hierarchy data, and 4,500+ intent topics are the deeper account layer, and it is the only vendor here that writes an accuracy guarantee into the contract. Budget for the real number: intent starts at Copilot Advanced, Vendr's median contract is $33,500 a year, and the agreement can't be cancelled, so negotiate (Vendr buyers average about 22% off) and get the renewal clause in writing.

Pick Seamless.ai if your reps mostly research named people at named accounts, from LinkedIn through the Chrome extension or inside HubSpot's Prospecting Agent, and you'd rather buy pooled credits than enterprise seat licenses. Go in with your eyes open: get every price and the renewal terms on the order form, set a reminder 75 days before renewal, verify emails independently before sending, and treat phone numbers as unprotected, because credit-back covers emails only.

The deciding question isn't curated database vs real-time search, because neither vendor's accuracy claim is audited. It's how you want bad data handled: ZoomInfo puts accuracy into the contract, while Seamless puts it into credits. Run the same 200–300 record bake-off through both, compare hard bounces and right-person connects per dollar, and sign with the winner.

Whichever you choose, SyncGTM can strengthen the enrichment behind it, re-verifying emails and filling missed direct dials with data from 50+ providers.
